Hydro-Facial Techniques

Hydro Facial skin treatments combine non-invasive exfoliation with the infusion of skin-specific topical solutions to improve and revitalize the skin. An advanced form of microdermabrasion, Hydro Facials are unique because they do not use crystals. This safe and painless treatment is one of our most popular non-laser treatments.

Like microdermabrasion, Hydro Facial treatments are non-invasive mechanical exfoliation treatments without chemicals that remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells from the treated area. They differ from traditional microdermabrasion treatments in that they use a patented technology to perform the treatment with a system that gently exfoliates with different treatment tips while infusing topical solutions at the same time. Different topical vitamins or a combination of topicals can be used for each patient so the treatment can be customized to treat hyperpigmentation, acne, photo damage, and dehydration.

Hydro Facial treatments can be done a few days after a deep IPL or FotoFacial treatment has been done to remove excess pigmentation or “coffee grounding” from these procedures. Also, Hydro Facial can be performed in conjunction with an advanced “laser facial”.

Microdermabrasion Techniques

Diamond tip Microdermabrasion techniques.

Making microdermabrasion part of your wheelhouse can expand your client offerings and allow you to begin earning yourself a reputation for being the go-to expert esthetician in microdermabrasion. What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a skin resurfacing technique that exfoliates the outermost layer of skin, removing dead skin cells and vacuuming them away. The goal of microdermabrasion is to produce softer, smoother skin and a more even skin tone by stimulating blood flow, improving cell production, and improving skin’s elasticity and texture.

Most microdermabrasion techniques are performed on the face and neck, although the skin of the chest and hands often benefit from treatment.

Although results vary, microdermabrasion has been shown to:

  • Diminish fine lines, wrinkles, and shallow acne scars

  • Unclog and minimize pores

  • Decrease the appearance of age spots, superficial hyperpigmentation, and other sun damage

  • Aid in the penetration of skin care products and the application of makeup

Microdermabrasion is gentle enough to use without a topical anesthetic, and discomfort is minimal for most patients. Recovery time is minimal, with some patients reporting tender skin for one or two days.

Advanced Chemical Peeling Methods

For Medical professionals.

We will provide the skin care professional with knowledge of glycolic, salicylic, lactic acid and more.

Chemical peels are acid solutions applied to the skin. Most chemical peels aren’t actually peels, but instead gels, lotions, grams, and cleansers that dissolve the outermost layer of skin, allowing it to peel off over the following days. By removing old skin cells, chemical peels reveal the fresher layer below. Chemical peels are also referred to as epidermal exfoliation, chem-exfoliation, and derma-peeling and para-medical exfoliation.

A safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis.

What’s surprising to many women is that the soft, dewy, seemingly airbrushed complexions of their favorite celebs aren’t achieved with any lotion, potion, or high-tech procedure. It’s dermaplaning! Dermaplaning remains the go-to procedure for celebs looking for a flawless complexion under harsh studio lights and high-definition cameras.

Dermaplaning, one of the oldest (and arguably one of the most effective) beauty procedures around, involves a sterile scalpel and the steady hand of an expert esthetician to remove fine hair (peach fuzz) and dead skin cells.

But what’s most interesting is that although dermaplaning has been around for years, many estheticians don’t even know it is exists! This means many women find themselves in search of an esthetician skilled in this craft, and this means opportunity for you.

One of the best ways you can build your esthetics business is to make yourself an expert in unique procedures like dermaplaning. Dermaplaning is something of an art, and it’s all about proper technique. This means it’s important you get the hands-on training necessary to administer the procedure safely and effectively.

Micro-needling /Derma-rolling

Also known as micropuncture or collagen induction therapy, dermal rolling, cosmetic dry needling, and percutaneous collagen induction, microneedling involves the use of tiny needles to create precision micro-perforations where the dermis and epidermis meet. The result is controlled wounding that stimulates collagen and elastin production and skin renewal and repair. It is also often used to prepare the skin for topical ingredients, as the micro-perforations allow skincare ingredients to more efficiently penetrate the skin.

Micro-needling alleviates fine lines and wrinkles, repairs sun damage, lifts and tightens skin, improves the appearance of scars, and reduces the size of pores.

Lymphatic Drainage

You will receive theory and practical training on lymphatic drainage of the face. This class will help you understand the functions, common disorders and how to improve the health of the client through lymphatic drainage. You will learn the indications and contraindications for lymphatic drainage. This is a great adjunct to facial treatments for clients after cosmetic surgery or who have non inflamed acne and edema. This is a hands -on class for manual lymphatic drainage.

Manual lymphatic drainage—it may sound quite clinical, even a bit unpleasant, but for those who’ve undergone the treatment while in the capable hands of an esthetician, it’s the holy grail of skincare procedures, encouraging cell renewal, enhancing skin tone, and decreasing puffiness.

Manual lymphatic drainage is a pleasant, gentle, and non-invasive massage designed to improve the appearance of the skin by facilitating proper lymphatic flow and drainage.

It is often used as an anti-aging procedure, as proper lymphatic drainage results in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. However, it is also used as an effective treatment for a number of skin maladies, such as acne, cellulite and rosacea.

The lymphatic system, as part of the immune system, has a number of functions: to remove excess fluid from body tissues; to absorb fats; and to protect the body against disease. The processes of the lymphatic system may slow down for a variety of reasons, such as autoimmune disorders, environmental conditions, lifestyle choices, and injuries.
