Classes for Barbers


Aesthetic Fundamentals for Barbers
5 C.E. Hours 8a-1p

In this class, essential topics will be taught such as: the consultation form, proper station & spa room set-up, various facial protocols including cleansing, classic massage movements, and an introduction to identifying Fitzpatrick types as well as methods to skin lightening. We will cover the 4 tools in identifying  skin irregularities and putting together a treatment plan to assist your client in gaining the treatment room results they are seeking


Facial Massage Techniques for Barbers 5 C.E. Hours 8a-1p

In this class we will cover various types of facial massage techniques, including, classical, contrasting massage, vacuum massage and more.


High Frequency Techniques for Barbers for
5 C.E. Hours 8a-1p

In this class, various high frequency methods will be taught including: Sparking, Direct High Frequency and Indirect High Frequency. These technique is used to treat and prevent stubborn acne, shrink enlarged pores, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, decongest puffy eyes, fade dark eye circles and even rejuvenate the condition of the scalp and nourish hair follicles for healthier hair growth.


Treating Folliculitis
 5 C.E. Hours 8a-1p

In this class, we will cover various methods of treating folliculitis. Folliculitis is a common skin condition in which hair follicles become inflamed. It's usually caused by a bacterial or fungal infection.


Skin Conditions for Barbers 
5 C.E. Hours 8a-1p

In this class, we will go over various skin conditions including: Acne, Rosacea, Hyperpigmentation Fitzpatrick types and skin issues that may afflict the clients well as treatment protocol and  options.


Deep Cleansing Facial
 5 C.E. Hours 8a-1p

In this class, various deep cleansing techniques will be taught including: enzyme treatments, skin scrubber and galvanic current. Skin scrubber uses ultrasonic converting technology to convert the electrical energy into mechanical energy. When used with desincrustation or iontophoresis/conduction gel, it helps eliminate blackheads, and  dirt  and congestion in the pores. This procedure will  fully clean and brighten the skin, as well as recover the elasticity.


Understanding Acne 
5 C.E. Hours 8a-1p

In this class, you will become trained to recognize different grades of acne. Learn about when to perform desincrustation, extractions or exfoliation during an acne treatment series. You will understand the causes of acne and how to assist clients in the treatment room through treatment plans and products. Class includes a kit (extraction tools, lancets and sharps container).


Dermaplaning Techniques
 5 C.E. Hours 8a-1p

In this class we will learn proper dermaplaning technique. Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair. Class includes a kit (15 dermaplaning blades-- (5) 10R, (5) 14 Carbon Steel and (5) 14 Stainless Steel, 1 handle & 1 blade remover box).

3 Hour State Board Required Sanitation Class

In this Ohio State Board of Cosmetology required class, we will cover topics such as competence standards & sanitary rules for cosmetologists, aestheticians and barbers. This class is free to barbers if you have purchased a full priced 5 hour class.
