We observe all state laws governing over Cosmetology, Barbering, Aesthetics and nail practices. If you are required to complete CE hours as a condition of renewing your license, the Board will verify the completion of the hours through CE Broker. If CE hours are not reported as completed in CE Broker, you will not be permitted to complete the online renewal process.

 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board voted to waive the four required hours of CE regarding scope-specific subject matter.  If you are required to completed CE hours:

 1-Hour Board Laws & Rules

 3-Hours Safety & Sanitation is the only required CE.

 

 

If you are sixty-five (65) years of age or older, or held a license for thirty (30) years or more, or this is your first Ohio license, CE hours are not required to be completed to renew your license. 

 

Sixty-Five (65) or older
Licensees who are age sixty-five (65) or older, before October 3, 2020 are not required to complete CE hours. Payment of renewal fee is required to keep a license current and active.

 

Held a license for 30 years

Licensees who have held a board license for thirty (30) or more years, before October 3, 2020 are not required to complete CE hours. Payment of renewal fee is required to keep a license current and active.

 

First-Time Licensee
If this is your first Ohio license, you are not required to obtain CE hours for this renewal period.

Payment of the renewal fee is required to keep a license active.

NOTE: An Instructors license is not eligible for this exemption.

You will no longer receive a printed license from the board.  Upon completion of the renewal application, you will receive your license as an email attachment.  The license can be maintained electronically and/or printed.  

To complete the online renewal process, visit https://elicense.ohio.gov. Click on Login/Create Your Account.  Navigate to Existing Users and login to your account using your email address and the password that you previously created.  If you have forgotten either, click on FORGOT PASSWORD or FORGOT LOGIN EMAIL for assistance.

 If you want to use lancets in the state of Ohio you should use this.
